Each project is made with 4″ squares done in plain weave. (The pattern does NOT include how to plain weave.) Projects range from 1 to 38 squares, making them quick and easy to make.

Crochet Basketweave Dishcloth and Bread Basket Liner Crochet Pattern

Keep your buns warm and learn the crochet basketweave stitch! I’m talking dinner rolls. What did you think I meant?

First in the pattern is written instructions for creating an 8″ x 8″ dishcloth. The crochet basketweave creates a ridged dishie that will come in handy for those pots and pans that need a little bit of elbow grease to get clean.

When you’ve mastered the basketweave stitch, you can create a lovely bread basket liner. The basketweave pattern creates a sturdy base for the liner. A v-stitch pattern is used on 4 side panels which provides a bit more drape for covering your dinner rolls.

This set is crocheted with Fibra Natura Good Earth distributed by Universal Yarn. This cotton linen blend is perfect for going from sink to washing machine and back again.

Crochet Towel Topper and Dishcloth Set

Dishcloth+ Series: April’s Dress Towel Topper and Dishcloth Crochet Pattern

Dress up your kitchen with this beautiful crocheted dress towel topper and coordinating dishcloth. This pattern was created out of love and necessity. I love to crochet, and I hate picking my dishtowels up off the floor. With two toddlers in the home, picking the towel up from the floor was happening way too frequently! My solution, crochet a beautiful accessory. Not only would it be lovely to look at, I wouldn’t have to pick the towel up off the floor every time I wanted to dry my hands.

The dishcloth and towel topper work up quickly with a lovely woven stitch (sometimes called the linen stitch). Less dense than a straight single crochet, the woven stitch is a little more flexible and has more drape. The fancy scalloped edge gives it a dash of elegance.

Towel Topper Dressy Design

The towel topper does require a bit of hand sewing as the crocheted portion is crocheted on two halves of the towel. The back half is placed over an oven handle or other handle and tucked into the waistband securing it in place. This design requires a fair amount of tugging by little hands to pull it down, making it a dream. (It will need to be buttoned in place for more persistent tuggers like my children!)

Play Ball: Published in Love of Crochet Summer 2015….Now Available in Store

Love sports? We created a crochet pattern for a throw pillow and stadium cushions to help keep you comfortable at your next baseball, softball or American football game.

These stadium cushions are surprisingly easy to make and have several fun design features. There are shoulder straps to make them easy to carry to the game. There are tie downs on the side so you can tuck the shoulder strap away while in use. And we’ve included zippers so the cushion covers can be washed.

It’s hip to be square…or just a bit cheeky.

This pig can be accessorized with a sweater and a medal. He can be Wilbur from Charlotte’s Web, or a trophy piece for the hunters out there. We even made it in red for the Razorback fans!

I made several of the mounted pig heads for my students after we read Animal Farm. They loved them!

Chutes and Lattice Scarf Crochet Pattern

Chutes and Lattice is a lacy scarf crochet pattern that beautifully showcases that crochet can create a delicate fabric.

This is one of my favorite scarves to wear. It’s also one that my mother wishes I would accidently leave at her house when I visit. So far, I’ve remebered to wear or bring it home with me. =)

The fingering weight yarn used in these photos is:

Purple Scarf: Brooks Farms: Acero in purple (1 skein)
Coral Scarf: Knit Picks: Gloss Fingering in Guava (2 skeins)

Chutes and Lattice Crochet Pattern

The motif is created with floral chutes interspersed with lattice work. It’s constructed primarily with chain work.

This pattern first appeared in Love of Crochet magazine Spring 2014 with the name “Coral Blooms”. Chutes and Lattice is now available for direct purchase in our shop.

Mulberry Stitch Sampler Scarf – Crochet Pattern

This Mulberry Stitch Sampler is a fabulous scarf! The extra length makes it fun to style (see photos below).

We refer to it as a stitch sampler because of all the fun crochet techniques it uses:

Star Stitch at the ends and middle
Horizontal cable created with reverse single crochet
Vertical cables made with front and back post work
Shell Stitch creates a lacy middle section
Chain work creates an edge to attach tassles
Working in front loop only allowed for another row of crochet to be worked in the back loop
