Crochet for Charity – Making a World of Difference
Spreading sunshine one stitch at a time, Yarnovations founders Deborah Bagley and Dana Bincer believe crochet and yarn crafts can make a world of difference….at home with friends and family and with strangers who may or may not have loved ones of their own. We crochet for individuals in need and larger organizations as well. Join us…share the love in your neck of the woods and beyond.
It’s the little things that make a big difference.
- Hats for kids & adults fighting cancer.
- Hats for newborn babies at neighboring hospitals.
- Scarves for Special Olympics athletes.
- Blankets for the homeless or animal shelters.
- Toys for children in need.
- and more….
Crochet for Charity – Highlighting a Couple
To find a charity in your area, ask a fellow crocheter such as a yarn shop owner or someone in your local yarn group (in person or online). Below are just a few of charities we crochet for.
Crossfire Ministries
This Christian run pantry gives food, clothing, blankets and hats to the needy and homeless. 100% of what they give away has first been donated to them. We have joined their Yarn Spinners group to crochet fun hats for the needy families in our community. (They are accepting yarn and fabric donations.)

Local Army Community Hospital
Some hospitals have more baby hats than they know what to do with. Others, do not. Sadly, we have found that one of our local army hospitals is often overlooked. We are proud to crochet hats for infants of our military families in Colorado Springs.
Special Olympics USA Scarf Project
The games are a fun and monumental occasion for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We are showing our support and sending our love to the athletes with crocheted scarves. Let the games begin…with crochet!
